ANNOUNCING Tenarky
District Winter Workshop Friday Evening, February 20, WILLIAM CARLSON of
Pendleton, IN, is Director of the Illinois/Indiana District.
He is a Consulting Rosarian, Horticulture Judge, and Arrangements Judge,
and has served on a number of district and national committees, including
editorship of The Rose Arranger’s Bulletin.
He will continue the annual presentation of a special session on rose
arranging for the winter workshop. JIM DELAHANTY,
a retired Professor of Law, lives in Sherman Oaks, CA, where he grows about 500
roses. Widely acclaimed for his
scholarly writings about roses, he is editor of The ARS and You, a
monthly newsletter for ARS members. He
is recognized as an expert on Polyanthas, as his collection of over 170 is one
of the largest in the ED GRIFFITH of
Mobile, AL, has been a long-time member of the American Rose Society and has
held many offices and committee appointments.
He is an accredited judge for World Federation of Rose Societies events
and will share pictures and stories about gardens, shows, and Rosarians from his
frequent international travels. JEFFREY WARE,
the Executive Director of the ARS in Shreveport, is the third individual to hold
that position in the past five years. He
has been highly praised by the Board of Directors for his work in his first year
and recently gave a rousing presentation to the Board of his vision for the
future of ARS and its relationship to local societies.
He will share this with us at our workshop. --- Also featuring
